Wrinkle Relaxer Injections Post Procedure Instructions (Jeuveau, Xeomin, Botox, Dysport):

  • Keep your head above your heart for at least 5 hours. No laying down flat or face down until that time. No yoga, massage, facial or anything where your head will be lower than your heart or level with your heart for any sustained period of time.

  • No exercise after your treatment for the rest of the day. You may exercise before your treatment.

  • Do not wear a cap, hat or visor that will put pressure on the treated area for the rest of the day after your treatment.

  • Do not massage or put sustained pressure on the treated area for the rest of the day following your treatment.

  • The small “bumps” in the injection area will resolve usually within 5-10 minutes of injection. At times if one area is slightly tender or lasts longer it can be a slight bruise in that area and will resolve in a few days.

  • Full results of your treatment can take up to 14 days (but can happen sooner). During this time, it can change some as it takes effect, and this is totally normal.

  • Results typically can last 3-4 months but individual variability does exist.

  • You can apply ice afterward to any bruised area or tender area, but this is not required.

  • Bruising can happen. We don’t like it, but it is a needle in skin. It will heal.

  • Touch ups when needed can be done two weeks after your treatment but not sooner.

  • Administration can trigger headaches the day of or even a few days after injection. These are self-limiting and will get better. You can take tylenol or ibuprofen if needed.

  • Call for any severe or atypical symptoms that you feel are related to your treatment for further evaluation.
