Dermal Fillers
Facial volume loss naturally occurs as we age due to many factors. Fillers are a minimally invasive way to help restore volume loss. Common areas injected are cheeks, lips, chin, nasal labial folds, marionette lines, jawline, under eye, and temples. Adding volume to these areas can help to restore a more youthful appearance.
What to expect when getting dermal filler:

Consultation:
Dermal filler treatment is convenient and pretty quick, too. However, I still take the time to get to know my patients before jumping right into administering injections into any part of their face. A consultation is essential to achieving an outcome that you will love. So, we begin by discussing the concerns that you have and what you would like to see instead.
After our consultation, you will know what product I recommend, how many syringes of filler it will take to achieve your goals, and how much your treatment will cost. Then, if you are ready, we can move right on to getting those results you want!

Marking and Numbing:
Once we have defined your goals, I will make detailed markings on your skin indicating where I will place the filler. There’s no room for guesswork when it comes to your face!
Depending on the area being treated and the type of filler, I may use either a topical numbing cream or an injectable numbing agent to make sure you’re comfortable throughout your treatment.

Enjoying Your Results
You should see a visible improvement immediately following your dermal filler treatment. It will take about 2 weeks for the filler to integrate into your tissues and reveal your final results. It is common to also see light bruising or swelling in the injected areas for about 7-14 days. No matter how hard I try a bruise is bound to happen. I tell clients to plan their treatments and expect bruising but if bruise does not happen that is a bonus! The results of dermal filler injections typically last 6-12 months depending on the filler used and area the filler is placed. Many patients notice that their improvements start to last over a year after a few years of injections. There are many factors that effect how long a filler will last and every one is different. If you want to maintain your results you will need to repeat treatments as directed.
